Adidas suspends contract with Tyson Gay

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Adidas AG has suspended its contract with Tyson Gay after the former double world sprint champion failed an out-of-competition dope test, the German sportswear company said on Monday. "We are shocked by these recent Tyson Gay, the American 100 metres record holder, has tested positive for a banned substance - and says he will pull out of the World Championships next month in Moscow. Jamaican athletes Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson are also confirmed to have American 100-meter record holder Tyson Gay has admitted to testing positive during an out-of-competition test in May. Gay did not reveal what substance he had tested positive for, but he did admit he was notified by the U.S. Former Arkansas Razorback and United States track star Tyson Gay tested positive for a banned substance and is forced to pull out of next month's World Championships
